Nutrition
The Piscataquis Public Health Council is committed to increasing the number of children and adults who have good nutrition, who eat healthy, and maintain a healthy weight. Within this framework, the PPHC has the below objectives:
- help implement policies and programs in childcare centers to improve nutrition for staff and parents,
- provide technical support to food pantries to improve nutrition, and
- work with local businesses to address and support healthy eating for employees in the worksite

The SNAP-Ed Connection is a dynamic online resource center for State and local SNAP-Ed providers. SNAP-Ed Connection is funded by USDA's Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) and maintained at the National Agricultural Library's Food and Nutrition Information Center.
